Backyard Bees is an established beehive rental business, servicing the Nelson and Tasman districts of New Zealand. We have been operating in this area for over 8 years, with our beehives being placed in locations from Atawhai to Motueka and everywhere in-between. We offer fully managed rental beehives to the home gardener, lifestyle block owner and the rural sector.
Our Team
We are a family owned business, operated by Nick, Erin, Hamish and Emma, who are all experienced beekeepers. We have many years experience working in both the North and South Islands before basing ourselves in the Nelson Tasman region. We work well together as a team and have fun touring our beautiful region, while out servicing our beehives.
We also work closely with the team at Tasman Honey NZ extraction services who manage our honey extraction and packing of the honey.
Our Vehicles
We have a purpose built sign written vehicle, that you’ll see cruising around. It is fully enclosed, with side doors, perfect for the tighter streets and narrower driveways, which ensure that the equipment, hives and bees are secure as we travel through the residential suburbs.
